Motion / Home / End Switch
With the Configure Axis block, you can establish InoDrive digital inputs for End Stop sensor devices to provide a motor stopping boundary in either or both the positive direction (direction in which axis units increase) or negative direction (direction in which axis units decrease).
With the End Stop option of the Home instruction block, you can use either of these inputs as a means to establishing a home position.
Home to Positive End Stop
In order to use an End Switch for the Home command, you must first use the Configure Axis block to enable the option to use the Positive End switch/sensor and then assign one of the InoDrive digital inputs to this switch/sensor. Please note that the the Configure Axis block and the Home block do not have to be contiguous as shown as long as the Configure Axis block has been executed prior to the Home command. In this example we have assigned InoDrive digital input 2 for the Positive End and because we have NOT checked the Negative Dir box, we know that when we execute the Home block, the motor will run in the positive direction and use the Positive End input to establish home. |
Home to Negative End Stop
Similarly to the Positive End Stop example, we have assigned InoDrive digital input 3 for the Negative End and because we have checked the Negative Dir box, we know that when we execute the Home block, the motor will run in the negative direction and use the Negative End input to establish home |
