Shared Strings
When crafting your application, you may need to share your program with a coworker, a client, or even with us for assistance.
Similarly, you may need to receive a program from someone else. The way to send and receive a program is through Shared Strings.
Sending a Shared String
1. To send a string to someone via email or other means, first you should navigate to the programmer, and then right click on the program you’d like to send |
|
*When you copy the Shared String for your program, you are sending the program in its last saved state. Ensure your program has been saved properly before sharing its string
2. Click the copy button to copy the whole string to your clipboard, and close the window. |
|
3. Navigate to whichever messaging service you intend to use (gmail, slack, etc), and paste your string into the message. Now anyone with an InoWorx account can use that string to Accept Share and create a new project on their account. Although your programs are initially the same, further development will not be mirrored. The programs exist as two completely separate applications on your individual accounts.
Receiving a Shared String
1. If you’ve received a string from someone first you should copy the string exactly as it is, navigate to the programmer, and then click Accept Share |
|
2. You’ll be presented with a dialog window within which you can name the program, provide a description, and then paste the Shared String |
|
3. After filling out the information, click Accept |
|
4. Now you can see the Received program in your programs’ storage tab!
